Rachel Alexandra bobblehorse bobbleheadRachel Alexandra is the 2009 Eclipse Award-winning Horse of the Year! She won all of her races during her three-year-old campaign, winning the Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks by more than 20 lengths before running against males for the first time in the Grade 1 Preakness Stakes. She became the first filly to win the Preakness since 1924 and defeated the Grade 1 Kentucky Derby winner in the same Triple Crown series. She would go on to win the Grade 1 Mother Goose by 19 and 1/2 lengths before finishing the year with two more Grade 1 stakes victories, completing her year by beating older males in the Woodward at Saratoga.

Rachel Alexandra bobbleheads were given away to horse racing fans at Oaklawn Park on Monday, January 18, 2010. On the evening of the same date, Rachel Alexandra's connections were awarded the trophies for Three-Year-Old Filly and Horse of the Year. During her award-winning three-year-old campaign, Rachel won two stakes at Oaklawn Park, including the Grade 2 Fantasy.
