Casino Drive was scratched from the Belmont Stakes this morning due to discomfort from a recently discovered stone bruise on his left hind.

I was sorry to see the news. Even though I'm rooting for Big Brown, Casino Drive looked like a very worthy foe, and I figured them to be traveling evenly throughout most of the race, with a really thrilling duel down the stretch.

I hope we get to see Casino Drive run here in the states again. I tried to knock this colt out of my Belmont tickets all week, and in the end I just could not deny him a chance to spoil Big Brown's Triple Crown bid.
