Coolmore Lexington Stakes winner Behindatthebar, trained by Todd Pletcher, is out of the Preakness after a foot bruise was discovered after an unsatisfying work on Friday morning. The horse had drawn post #5 for the Preakness. Pletcher indicates that Behindatthebar may run in the Belmont Stakes on June 7 instead.
I liked this horse for a shot at second in the Preakness. A stalker who surprised in the Lexington by starting farther back and closed the race up powerfully. Three wins in five starts, on target for good things under Todd Pletcher's guidance since his third start.
