Breeders Cup 2008 Survival Guide
Posted On 10/23/2008 03:17:45 by TonyHorsepower

The Breeders Cup has always been the most stressful of all the big race days for me--the Cup runeth over, big time. Fourteen championship races, two days, familiar heroes start to look quite vulnerable in very strong fields, and... euros, my god the euros... with their time form ratings, no points-of-call/beaten-lengths running line, Frankie Dettori doing backflips all over the place. But, Dutrow then noticed Big B... Read More

Big Brown returns to lead Haskell
Posted On 08/03/2008 04:02:14 by TonyHorsepower

Big Brown is back in his first race since the Belmont Stakes, in the $1 million Haskell Invitational at Monmouth Park. Trainer Rick Dutrow wants jockey Kent Desormeaux to send Big Brown straight to the front and lead all the way, which is what they planned to happen in the Belmont Stakes. Unfortunately, Big Brown's Triple Crown bid was unsuccessful after his Belmont trip was in trouble early, and his jockey deciding to ease him out of the race as the rest of the field passed him out of the fi...
