Behindatthebar made a final furlong move to take the Coolmore Lexington Stakes by about a length on Saturday. The Todd Pletcher trainee now has enough graded earnings to make the field for the 134th Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 5th. Samba Rooster set the pace and hung on for second. The final 2008 Kentucky Derby prep is today. The Coolmore Lexington Stakes is the last chance for Atoned, Tomcitio, and other familiars and latecomers to show us their best and earn their ticket to Churchill Downs for the first Saturday in May.

The Girls Got Game


For me the most interesting race this weekend will be run at keeneland when Bsharpsonata gets tested against two of  this crops leading fillies, Proud Spell and Country Star. Bsharpsonata should get the best wagering value out of these three and I don’t see any other condenders in this race.
