Behindatthebar out of Preakness

Coolmore Lexington Stakes winner Behindatthebar, trained by Todd Pletcher, is out of the Preakness after a foot bruise was discovered after an unsatisfying work on Friday morning. The horse had drawn post #5 for the Preakness. Pletcher indicates that behindatthebar may run in the Belmont Stakes on June 7 instead.

Behindatthebar made a final furlong move to take the Coolmore Lexington Stakes by about a length on Saturday. The Todd Pletcher trainee now has enough graded earnings to make the field for the 134th Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 5th. Samba Rooster set the pace and hung on for second.
