Posted On 01/04/2009 11:06:31 by TonyHorsepower

The 2009 Kentucky Derby trail is under way, and you can already hear this year's three-year-old Thoroughbreds busting out the rhymes, "I got my mind on my money, my money on my mind". Only the top 20 horses with the most earnings from graded stakes races can get into the starting gate for the world's most famous horse race, the Grade 1 Kentucky Derby, which will have its 135th running on Saturday, May 2nd. How Big Brown was denied the Triple Crown
Posted On 06/08/2008 10:26:16 by TonyHorsepower

Big Brown is the center of debate after his Belmont loss, and I was pretty ballistic myself when he got eased out, but I've seen this happen to good horses all year. He never ran his race, it was over after a troubled first quarter.

The trifecta and superfecta look open to some good prices beating horses favored for third and fourth: Tale of Ekati and Icabad Crane. Denis of Cork is the second choice to beat in the exacta, and may be worth taking a shot at there too.

Obviou... Read More
