I am a legal administrative assistant and love the fast pace but often feel as if I am meant to be outdoors working with the horses! I had the pleasure of helping to adopt an off-track thoroughbred last year. When I went to the Breeders Cup in October 2008 I had the wonderful chance to finally meet her and feed her carrots in person!!

I am prehaps the biggest Afleet Alex fan ever!! He is by far my favorite in recent years. There are so many other horses too that I just love that I could go on forever!

CURLIN! OCTAVE! ZENYATTA! BETTER TALK NOW! SUN KING! COMMENTATOR! HARD SPUN! LAWYER RON! EVENING ATTIRE! BARBARO! EIGHT BELLES!

ROSES IN MAY! LAVA MAN! (LAVAMANIA BABY!!!) SWEET CATOMINE! WAIT A WHILE! ASHADO! TIZNOW! CIGAR! SILVER CHARM! GHOSTZAPPER! SABERTOOTH! CHINOOK PASS! EASY GOER! SUNDAY SILENCE! OUIJA BOARD!
Of course...SECRETARIAT!! MAKYBE DIVA! SEATTLE SLEW! AFFRIMED/ALYDAR! GO FOR WAND! RUFFIAN! ROUND TABLE! DR. FAGER! WHIRLAWAY! ASSAULT! FOREGO! CITATION!

AND ON & ON & ON....LOL!

YOU NAME 'EM, I LOVE 'EM!!

I love it all although am not a big fan of rap, punk, or acid metal.

Iron Man, The Notebook, 300, Phantom of the Opera, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Dreamer, The Thomas Crowne Affair, Hidalgo (had to have a "horsey" one or two)...and on and on and on.

I am married (am a military wife) and live we south of the city of Seattle in WA state, although my husband is currently serving in Iraq and I miss him terribly. I currently work in a law firm but it is not my dream to do so. That being said I do like my job.
I loooooooooooove horseracing!! A huge fan and I aspire to hopefully someday become a trainer. Don't know if I'll ever get there but I know I'll be involved with this sport all my life!I am currently about 80% complete with my Bachelor's Degree and hope to go on the the University of Arizona's Race Track Industry Program with the hopes of getting my degree/certificate to be a race horse trainer.

Horses! Horses! Horsesracing!!! :-) I could spend hours and hours reading and talking about horseracing if I had the time...I wish! LOL!

I love to cook, read, spend time with my pets, I am currently Horseless in Seattle however.

Gary Stevens (came close at the 2008 Breeders Cup), Edgar Prado, Roy & Gretchen Jackson, Jess Jackson, Trevor Denman, Nick Zito, and Sheik Mohammed for starters.

Is the old site still up and running or did this site take over where it left off?? I LOVE this site!! WHAT A FABULOUS idea!

The old site is still online at gohorsepower.com - but I've put most of my time into Horseracingfans.net.

Thanks for bringing up another one to look at for next year's Derby trail. Right now I can't consider Merus Miami a huge threat on the California route to the Derby trail until he does well against better company than what he faced in the Gold Rush. I can see his potential though. He'll be in the California Derby next; and I like the longer distance for him; but, it's an ungraded stakes. The top four from the CashCall Futurity are going to be a tough group to keep up with. Here's the 2008 Gold Rush Stakes video replay.

Happy holidays to you as well! Sorry I didn't reply sooner, but I don't visit this site very often.

Have a good week.

There is definitely a lot of hustle and bustle going on, but it's more with working on this site and some other things here and there. I really wanted to get into the Hong Kong races, but just haven't been able put any time into it. I'll have to visit your board soon.

You are still making the trip to Santa Anita -- the Breeders Cup only cancelled its supplemental stakes prizes, which award extra money to BC nominees in other races during the year (like the Northern Dancer Breeders Cup Stakes at Churchill).

My pic is of War Emblem breezing at Sportsman Park before the 2002 Illinois derby which he won and led to his derby win on 2002 @ 20-1 odds. Made alot off that race and his Preakness win.

By the way, love your taste in horses, especially Afleet Alex. Had Jeremy Rose stayed off of that blistering pace in the derby that year, theres NO DOUBT in my mind he would have been the next triple crown champ. Of all the close calls, the 2 out of 3's, I think Afleet Alex was by far the best and the worthiest.
